Himalayan Ranges

Himalayan mountain range separating the Indian subcontinent from Nanga Parbat, which is situated in the west, the range of this mountain stretches for greater than 2,000-km to the mountains adjoining Sikkim and Bhutan in the east of India. The west Himalaya is also part of this series that make partitions Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh from Ladakh. The maximum mountains here are Nun and Kun. In Kashmir the supplementary ridge of the Himalaya comprise the North Sonarmarg, Kolahoi and the range of Amaranth.

In the east, the Himalaya extends diagonally to the Baralacha range in Himachal Pradesh before integration with the Parbati range to the east of the Kullu valley. Then it extends across kinnaur Kailas to the swargarohini and Bandarpunch ranges in beautiful Uttaranchal. Additional in the east Himalaya is also defined by the snow covered range. In the northern area, Gangotri glacier and huge peaks of Nanda Devi, the highest mountain in the Indian Himalaya. In Western Nepal the range is equally famous across the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massifs, while in Eastern Nepal the main ridgeline recurrently coincides with the supporting boundary between Nepal and Tibet area.
