Chardham Pilgrimage Tour

Gangotri, Yamunotri, Badrinath and Kedarnath is also called the Chardham. According to the holy book of Hinduism, these are the most holy place of all pilgrimages. The holy River Ganga, rises from the glacier at Gangotri, the River Yamuna from Yamunotri and the Mandakini and Alaknanda pour past Kedarnath and Badrinath in that order. All these four holy pilgrimages are placed in the North Indian state of Uttaranchal, which is also known all over the world for it’s amazing gorgeousness and spiritual atmosphere. According to Hindu legends, Uttaranchal is known as Devbhoomi(land of the Gods). Pilgrims from across India and the world journey to Uttaranchal to undertake the Char Dham yatra.

Yamunotri

The Yamunotri temple is devoted to Goddess Yamuna. Yamunotri temple was damaged in nineteen century by the earthquake. So present temple rebuilt by the Maharani Guleria of Jaipur. A holy bath in the near tank filled by hot holy water. cooking rice in its water are common performed by the devotees.

Gangotri

The Gangotri temple, dedicated to Goddess Ganga, was constructed on the banks of Bhagirathi by a Gorkha Commander Amar Singh Thapa, in the 18th century. Back to the legendary period, Gangotri exposes the story of holy Ganga. it’s also called daughter of heaven, Ganga decided to flow down from heaven to the earth. This was done to accept the apology performed by King Bhagirath to wash away the sins of his predecessors. The place where Ganga grew as a river is knows as Gangotri.

Kedarnath

The Kedarnath is ranked amongst the most holy places among Hindus, and is one of the 12 "Jyotirlingas" of Lord Shiva. placed at an altitude of 3584 meters and river Mandakini lying towards the head, Kedarnath is the place where the scholarly Adi Guru Shankaracharya enshrined Lord Shiva. Legends describes Kedarnath as the important holy place where Lord Shiva purged Pandavas of their sins for killing their own cousins Kauravas in Kurukshetra battlefield. Kedarnath temple, over 100 years old, has a conical lingam, which serves as the main idol, a statue of Nandi or the celestial bull, 'Garbha Griha' which is a worship place and 'Mandap' for the pilgrims s to offer prayers.

Badrinath

Badrinath Dham is ranked amongst the oldest and is measured as the most holy places amongst Hindus. Comfortably placed along the right bank of the majestic river Alaknanda, at an altitude measuring 3133 m above sea level, the dham or the heavenly abode, stands protected by indomitable mountain peaks named Nar and Narain on the either side, with an impressively lofty Neelkanth mountain peak offering a resplendent background altogether. The shrine is also known by the name of Vishal Badri, the biggest amongst five Badris, and is a true homage to Lord Vishnu, postured in meditative mood or the padmasan. Other of four Badris includes Bhavishya Badri, Yogdhyan Badri, Bridha Badri and Adi badri respectively.
